Français de l'Ouest Américain
The French citizens established abroad elect (for a 6-year term) 150 representatives worldwide
to the "Assemblée des Français de l'étranger".
The institution was created in 1948.
It was called "Conseil Supérieur des Français de
l'Etranger" (C.S.F.E.) until August 2004.
French citizens who reside outside of France may call upon their
elected "conseillers" when they have serious problems with the French administration.
The Council Members are permanent residents of the country they represent.
If you are a French resident of the Western United States (see above map),
one of your 3 representatives is Gérard Michon.
